I am residence in this area since 2005 and I am one of the 1st members of the ICOB founder we started this community 2006. After couple of years, I was travel overseas for the job requirement. I have comeback to community and settle in Bothell and start working local jobs. Currently I am working at Seattle Pain Field Airport (PAE) at Everett, WA. As a county government employee as airport electrical Technician / Electrical Engineer.
Currently I am involved with our community as a volunteer, and I am happy to accept my nomination to serve for new member for upcoming election for our ICOB Community. I have lots of Experience and expertise almost everything.
I am Happy to take any responsibility for ICOB community and serve as best candidate to involve for support. I have skill of Knowledge and experience. Currently as a volunteering so for every one respect and followed my directions. Our biggest concern in Eid, Ramadan and Friday Parking and food. I am keeping above standard to serve and support as volunteer.
I want to part of responsibility and keep good relations with our ICOB Community and serve excellent service to all.
Denis Stankovski
My name is Denis Stankovski, I have converted to Islam back in 2000 when I was studying for my
undergraduate degree on the east coast. I moved to Washington state with my wife and 2 kids in 2011
and have worked at Microsoft and GitHub since then. Up until last year we have been renting our home in
Redmond area where I would attend MAPS and ICOR. Alhamdulillah, we purchased our home in Bothell last January. This move has allowed me to become involved with ICOB, where I currently coordinate the volunteer program and support technology initiatives.
Alhamdullilah since last year I’ve been volunteering with ICOB, coordinating the volunteer program, and helping with the technology. Through my experience working with various Muslim organizations, I’ve observed that encouraging members to volunteer, beyond financial contributions, creates stronger emotional bonds and deeper community connections. This insight has driven my efforts to expand volunteering opportunities and streamline the onboarding process.
Looking ahead, I aim to establish a convert program at ICOB, inshaAllah. By joining the board, I hope to build upon existing foundations while focusing on these key areas of impact: enhancing volunteer engagement, supporting converts, and leveraging technology to serve our community better. I feel truly blessed to be part of this beautiful community and look forward to contributing to its growth and development.
Harris Thamby
I’ve been a local resident of Woodinville for almost 20yrs. Alhamdulillah, my family (wife/daughter) and I have had the fortune of benefitting from ICOB as a local barakah since its inception. I’ve served previously on the ICOB board in 2 separate instances, most recently ending in Mar 2023.
Professionally, I’m a Program Manager on IT solutions. As a Board member, I hope inshaAllah to leverage past experiences, knowledge and skills to help ICOB become a more socially responsible organization and welcoming environment. And hope inshaAllah to bring a sense of dedication, commitment and servitude (with some structure and discipline embedded), balancing the realities of operating an Islamic Center with aspirations of how people assume it to be.
JazakAllah Khair for the consideration.
Kareem Shabaik
I have been blessed to be part of the Bothell community for the past 5+ years. During that time, I’ve had the opportunity to plan, participate in and lead several initiatives that have, Alhamdulilah, helped bring the community together, including the weekly Friday night program, Ramadan food drives and Eid carnivals. My hope is to continue to serve the community in sha Allah and help establish more programs for current and future members of ICOB.
Mohamed Elmohandes
I have been in the Seattle area since 2006; I am a senior manager at an IT company and have three kids
who have attended ICOB from day one and serving on their current weekend school. I am one of the founders of ICOB in 2009. I have served on the ICOB board several times; the most recently ended in March 2023.
I helped ICOB move on to many stages, from renting the first and second locations. I helped purchase the Monte Villa location and the construction phase we moved into. I established ICOB Academy with Sunday School, Arrowads, and Saturday School (which closed during the pandemic)
What I am bringing is the continuation of the last construction phase to allow the community to extend their activities and have a proper elementary and middle school. I dream of making ICOB the place for everyone in our community to find the proper activities during the entire time, beyond Ramandans and Jummas.
