Nada Negm

Sister Nada graduated with a dual bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering and Education from the City College of New York. She then received a Masters degree in the Theory and Application of tajweed from Al-Noor Quran institute in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Sister Nada is a certified Positive Discipline  Educator and is trained to use Positive Discipline in school settings.

Sister Nada has 15+ years of experience in the educational field. She has established and led numerous programs for children aged 4 through 18. Some of her notable accomplishments include:

  • Establishing the girls Maktab program at ICOB, which included training six instructors. The Maktab program teaches proper Qur’anic recitation and tajweed to girls aged 4-12, and alhamdulilah currently has more than 40 enrolled students
  • Leading semester-long Arabic immersion intensive programs for elementary school aged children in both California and Washington.
  • Leading the Muslim Cub Scout group for families in the Bothell/Kirkland/Redmond area for several years. The group was very active and held various educational and recreational programs, including an annual summer camp, and served over 80 youth and their families.
  • Teaching Islamic Studies and Quran at the ICOB Riyad AsSaliheen (Sunday school) for 3 years
  • Organizing several camps at ICOB for elementary and middle school students. Such as the Summer Science and Robotics camps, Islamic studies & STEM winter camp, and Journey around the Muslim World.
  • Serving as the Women’s and Girls’ affairs liaison on the ICOB board for the past two years
  • In addition, Sr. Nada has been homeschooling her four children for the past 10 years alhamdulillah.
