Teacher Damiya holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and has a strong passion for education. She began her teaching journey in Islamic schools, where she taught mathematics while also pursuing advanced studies in Quran with Tajweed. She earned her Ijazah and became a certified Quran teacher, and has since been teaching Quran to children ages 5–13.
In addition to her teaching experience, Damiya has pursued professional development in technology, earning certifications in software development from Cascadia as well as in data analysis and visualization from Google and Stanford. She also contributed her skills as a volunteer data analyst with the nonprofit “Anything Helps” in Seattle.
Damiya has been dedicated to teaching from an early stage, including educating her own children, and is committed to making it her lifelong career. She is currently in the process of becoming a Washington State certified teacher.
